There's something magical about watching a family just be themselves, and that's exactly what happened during Marianne and Stephen's East Bay family session in Concord. Marcus in particular didn't take long to warm up to me (though I'm sure the promise of cupcakes helped speed things along). I love how his playful personality shines in every frame. What I loved most was capturing the genuine dynamics of this sweet family: Marcus and his dad Stephen share this incredible bond that you can feel in every image, while Marianne is clearly the steady, loving foundation that holds everyone together. And little Grace? Her quiet, careful nature had me melting. Sessions like these remind me why I'm so passionate about documenting this fleeting season of life before it slips away forever.
