San Francisco Engagement Photos at the Presidio: YiQi and Sean
When couples dream of San Francisco engagement photos, they picture exactly this: sun-drenched* views of the Golden Gate Bridge, salty sea air, and a dramatic coastal sunset painting the sky. YiQi and Sean’s Presidio engagement session delivered all of that and more.
*While a classic San Francisco engagement session may involve Karl the Fog, he only lingered just above the Golden Gate Bridge and let the sun be the main character for this evening.
From the moment we started shooting, the energy was pure joy. YiQi embodies joy in human form. Sean could not stop looking at her. Capturing them felt like being surrounded in a warm bubble of happiness despite the chilly San Francisco weather. These are the sessions that remind me why I love photographing couples in love. When the connection is so genuine, I simply document what’s already there.
The Presidio: A Beachy, Coastal View of the Golden Gate Bridge
We chose the Presidio for their San Francisco engagement photos because this location holds special meaning for them. As we moved through the session, they shared how it took them back to their first dates in the city. They had become tourists together, hitting all of the landmarks. Something magical happens when you return to the places where your relationship began, now as an engaged couple planning your future together.
The nostalgia continued even after we wrapped. They went for a romantic dinner at one of their first date spots. This will now be my new recommendation for all couples post engagement session. What a wonderful way to look back on the time you’ve spent together while looking forward to this new season of life.
