Anji and Sherwin, Maternity Photos around San Francisco

This is the kind of maternity photoshoot that every photographer dreams about. A client writing in excited about a creative vision for their photos, and best of all in their home and neighborhood that they’ve grown into as a husband and wife. Meet Anji and Sherwin, who is expecting a baby boy! They showed me around their favorite spots in their neighborhood in the heart of San Francisco. Perhaps my most urban shoot to date, and I only want to do more of these. Anji showed me her favorite spots, like Flour + Water restaurant and Heath Ceramics (it’s a good thing I was there for a job, I would’ve gone shopping myself). It was such a fun photoshoot for me as the photographer as I got to get a glimpse into their lives before the baby’s arrival — their neighborhood walks, the kinds of things they’re excited about, their favorite restaurants, and their secret spots. We ended the session at their home, with their two adorable pups. Anji also showed me the nursery that they had prepped, which was thoughtfully curated with a wardrobe for their future fashionista. I’m so so excited for Anji and Sherwin as they wait for the arrival of Baby J!
