Family Photos at Filoli with the Roberts

Family photo sessions at the historic Filoli gardens is an absolute must in the san Francisco Bay Area! Karen reached out inquiring about updated family photos with their now two year old daughter, Jane. Karen loved the film-inspired colors in my photos, and especially loved the greens. I knew I had to take them to Filoli to capture this year of their lives. We met at 10am, when the venue opens, and took advantage of the even light in this uncharacteristic cloudy weather in late May.

Jane has so much energy and independence - from the confident stomp-stomp in her summer sandals, and the quiet examination of every pebble and stick in her path, to the decisive waves of her small hands telling us all where to stand (yes including me with my camera).

I’m honored to contribute to the Roberts’ heirlooms and their family’s journey, and I look forward to seeing the future seasons of Jane.

I am surprised how many amazing frames you were able to get of us with how focused our daughter was on just finding sticks and rocks, plus she was also too focused on her business to smile much but you found those small windows somehow.
