Late October in Sonoma County gave us the perfect backdrop for Lisa and George’s wedding at Viansa Winery. Rolling hills painted in autumn hues, rows of vines stretching into the horizon, and golden afternoon light that makes wine country feel like nowhere else.
Lisa struck me from our very first call together. Halfway through, she simply said she’d been following my work for a while and knew I was her photographer. As a wedding photographer, that kind of vote of confidence means everything to me. I never take it for granted.
On their wedding day, I teared up quite a few times. What can I say, I’m a very emotional photographer! Of the many moments, one stands out in particular. During their ceremony at Viansa Winery, George’s vows stopped me in my tracks. He recounted how they met in New York City, sitting on the floor of their apartment just hanging out. “If we’re doing the same thing ten years from now, I can’t imagine wanting anything more than that.” Ladies, if you have found yourself a George, don’t let go!
Lisa and George’s kind of love is honest and unrushed. They find joy in every moment. It’s exactly the kind of day I live to document as an elevated documentary-style photographer. Not posed or performative, just real. I wish them the absolute best as newlyweds, and I’m so happy to share their story here.

Getting Ready at Viansa Winery

First Look Among the Vines

The Wedding Party

The Ceremony
Viansa Winery’s outdoor ceremony space is one of my favorite settings in Sonoma County. The vineyard rows behind the altar, the open sky, the late afternoon light. Lisa and George’s ceremony felt perfectly at home here.

Golden Hour in the Sonoma Vineyard
There’s a reason couples choose Viansa Winery for their Sonoma wedding. That golden hour light hitting the vines is something you cannot recreate anywhere else. Lisa and George slipped away for just a few minutes. These are some of my favorite portraits I’ve ever taken.
